Composite sp - This very bright and cheerful Compositae was growing on the roadside alongside C. oreocreticus. Again I make no attempt to identify it.
Colchicum pusillum / Κολχικό το μικροΦΦυέζ - Another autumn flowering bulb which was in evidence up on the Katharo during my visit. You can see from this photograph that the earth is still very dry. It is amazing that these fragile flowers have the strength to push through into the sunshine.
Colchicum cretense / Cretan colchicum / Κολχικό το κρητικό / Kretische Colchicum - The small and very beautiful endemic Colchicum was also flowering everywhere.
