These are not being offered at the moment, which we note in case you stumble on this web page by chance.

Jane Sharp’s first walk of the season in Vrahassi, in conjunction with Flowers of Crete, will take place on Sunday, 1st February. Walkers are asked to meet up in the square at 10.30 am and to wear suitable walking shoes and warm clothing if the weather is cool. We will then make our way through the olive groves to the proposed site of the Pezoulia nature reserve. This is a fairly gentle walk of around an hour’s duration. Once at the reserve we will spend around 45 minutes identifying and recording the naturally occurring species, including orchids and endemics. Jane will be on hand to give us the benefit of her local knowledge and Julia will be able to help with identification and labelling. After the return walk, lunch will be served at Yiannis taverna. Lunch is included, but drinks should be paid for separately. The total cost for the day, which finishes around 3.00 pm, is €35 euros per person. A percentage of this sum will be donated to the work of Flowers of Crete.
Any people wishing to visit the reserve, but not able to make the walk, should contact Jane or Julia who will arrange transport to and from the site. But please note there is a short but fairly easy climb from the track to the reserve.
